Theme: Not everything is what it seems.
Scene 1
Jem and Scout are by the fire, telling ghost stories.
Jem: Scout, do you wanna tell some ghost stories.
Scout: omg yeah I wanna tell some ghost stories
Atticus: Hey kids, wanna hear a reaaaal spooky story?
Jem & Scout: yeaaaa
Atticus: Well, let’s go back to this fellow named Boo Radley.
Scout: Boo Radley??
Atticus: yea one evening like long long ago
(lights go off)
Atticus: He was a little hungry, and decided to chop up some carrots with his scissors for stew.
**Boo aggressively chops with back turned to stage**
And THEN…
Jem: WHAT WHAT
Scout: Yea, then what??
Atticus: A SCREAM
Boo: (chopping carrots/ cuts fingers)- ahhhhhhhhhh… my back
Jem: OH NO
Scout: WHAT HAPPENED
Atticus: no one knows but it’s assumed that he had an accident… oh and that’s not all
Scout: What happens next?
Atticus: Boo goes over to a cage and opens it. And something inside meows.
Jem: Is it a cat?
Atticus: Boo Radley grabs the little cat out of the cage. You could hear cut of a razor skimming across thick hair. The cat meowed and boo begins to chop again.
**Boo actually starts cutting carrots, not a cat**
Scout: Oh No! What happened to the cat!
Atticus: We may never know, but terrible terrible things for sure.
Jem: Boo is the worst person I know!
**Boo Radley sets table and feeds part of the stew to cat**
